More paperwork.

David and Sierra walking the track at the playground.
She is so independent!

David and our new friend John playing Chinese hackysack in front of one of the shops! Notice the pink backpack on David's back!!!

Brides in Guangzhou always come to Shamian Island for their wedding pictures. With their beautiful skin, they all look gorgeous

We walked along the river tonight after dinner. The lights are incredible.

YES!!!! She is smiling, actually she was laughing!! She doesn't give them out too often yet but when she does it is priceless!!! We are so in love!!

Today we had to go back to the Civil Affairs office to fianalize the adoption. This was much more emotional for me, when they said OK she is yours. We now have her adoption certificate!!!

Of course I was nervous about bringing her back there, I was afraid she would be looking for her nanny. She did cry for a little while but then stopped right before her interview. (the lollypop helped) While we were waiting or the others to finish who should walk in but her nanny. She did hear her voice and turned around but I quickly walked into another area and all was fine. Poor Scott and some others had to wait on line at the bank for over an hour to exchange the money needed. He has quite the stories to tell about that experience!!! He is such a great Dad and is doing so many things that are so out of his comfort zone!!!! Here are some pictures from today. I was a little disappointed that it was only about 60 today until I heard what it is at home!! By Friday its supposed to be in the 70's. Tomorrow we have to apply for her passport and visa(more paperwork) but not until the late afternoon. Thanks for all the comments, I love to read them and so do Scott and David!!! We miss you all and can't wait to come home. I hope the next 10 days pass quickly!!! They keep us busy so they will!!

I signed on as soon as I woke up and no new photos. Of course, you placed them after I put my make up on. I'm going to have to learn to wait. She looks so happy!

I can't imagine the emotions that you are going through. I know what we are all going through just reading about her and seeing the new photos!

Take care, I can't wait to read more and more comments about your journey.

I wish it was 70 here. More snow tonight and Thursday and below zero Thursday night. Brrr!

Will check in later.

Love,

Jessica

Sierra looks comfortable holding big brother's hand! Isn't such a blessing to hear a laugh and see her smile! Have fun in Guangzhou we loved it there. Tell Dong Hi at Susan's place. We spent a lot of time there having tea with Dong! Also try the Italian restaurant on the island. The food was amazing when we went there!

Hi!!
She is such a cutie!!
How does she like the Breakfast buffet? :)

Missing the warm, wonderful weather. Love the pictures of the lights - did you guys eat at Lucy's?

Which bank did you use? The one across from the hotel wasn't busy but I guess that could easily change.

CONGRATULATIONS Momma!!

You and Scott look so in love with your little girl and David looks like he was born to have a baby sister! Enjoy every second with your daughter, and when you get home and get Sierra settled, give us a call when you girls want a playdate! Congratulations, Mama! Love, Jess, Brian, Maura, and Danny

Good Evening from Atlanta. GA
I am currently fighting breast cancer. I spend alot of time resting. My daughter told me to start reading blogs and since I LOVE children I started reading about the asoptions in China. I found you and Sierra. I now follow about 15 different families that have adopted a girl. Some are brand new and some have had their girls for a year or so.

You just have NO IDEA how uplifing it is to me to read these blogs. It helps more than any medication I've EVER taken. Please take lots and lots of pictures and tell lots and lots of stories. I love them.

Sierra, is just gorgeous! What a sweetie pie. I am sooo glad she is with you and part of a family.

Thank you for uplifting us out here!

Miss Lila in Atlanta

We travelled with Robin's family in July with AHH. We totally agree about trying the Italian restaurant and don't skip dessert. Sierra is so beautiful and is a perfect fit to your family. How lucky you are!

Kathie, Scott, and David,

Congratulations to you all! I can't begin to explain how happy I am for you. Theresa just sent me your blog link. I have been thinking of you guys every day and hoping your journey brings you much peace, joy, and happiness. Looking at your pictures and daily diary has brought back so many different emotions and memories of my sister and brother in law's trip to adopt my niece Anabel. David, I haven't had the pleasure of meeting you yet but I am so proud of the big brother you've become. You are the sweet, playful, sincere, protective, and comforting big brother every little girl would want to have. Congratulations again, Sierra is absolutely beautiful!

Much Love and Hugs - Stephanie and Greg Sorbellini
